Jamie O’Reilly performs two fall concerts
featuring Irish songs from the 1984 WFMT album
that launched her vocal career.
I Know Where I’m Going is the remastered first solo album of vocalist Jamie O’Reilly. Accompanied by guitarist Peter Swenson, Jamie sang this collection of beloved Irish ballads on heels of her vocal debut at Orchestra Hall. 11 songs were recorded at WFMT Studio in 1984, with Rich Warren as engineer and Anne Hills as producer. 2 additional songs were recorded at WFMT this summer, with Jamie, Peter and special guest Michael Smith on guitar. omg Just heard Piston Fionn. It was an emotional reaction for me, as it was the song for Catherine, my daughter. I haven’t heard it in awhile, since it was on the tape only. Thank you for including it, and ” the last Rose of summer”. ( Garrison Keillor sang it last night on WBEZ) such a beautiful song and so appropriate for this time of year. Thank you also for including me in the “angels”…
