FAMILY NOTES. Looking out & ahead. After those wonderful concerts with Peter Swenson in March, I took a little time off. I’ll soon be back in the swing of things, and setting up concerts for the fall.My Grandbaby Olive’s year and a half mark is next month. We’ve had a delightful time in my treehouse of a home: hearing the birds, looking for bunnies in the grass, and barking with the dogs in the alley below. I love singing with her and watching her grow.
She is sweet, smart, sure and wild. Daughter Meg finishes up another successful school year this week camping with forty-one 7th graders. Son-in-law Alex, Meg and Olive will take a trip to Alaska with his family, Bob, Judy and Ethan, in July. Daughter
Nia said good-bye to her job at SPACE in December. She is now a senior graphics designer for concert powerhouse Live Nation. Working downtown is magical and fun. Nia, husband Casey, sister Meg, and cousin Michael, along with Lily Floeter received a standing ovation last week for their sung tribute to Prince at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
As for me, I’m in a new collaboration my long-time friend Iwona Biedermann. Next summer it’s a family trip to Ireland with me, at last! – Jamie |
