Roots Sept Salon with Peter Swenson Jazz Trio
Jamie O’Reilly hosts The Peter Swenson Trio: Patrick Whalen (melodica), Jim Seidel (bass) and Peter Swenson (guitar), with special guest Maddi Vogel (drums). In this first fall Roots Salon event, Jamie will sing a few songs with the ensemble, but the night belongs to this fine quartet, playing jazz instrumentals in the lush setting of the Tre Kronor Garden.

Blog shares the video. Vocalist Jamie O’Reilly sings a poignant tribute to her Irish American Aunt Dorothy in this ballad by Tom Amandes. A rich vocal tradition was handed down to Jamie from Aunt “Dottie,” whose story is illustrated in this video featuring vintage photographs dating back to the mid 1800s.
