Composer Dr. Michael Karasis presents “An Afternoon of the Macabre,” Music for Chorus and Orchestra, to the Performing Arts Center of Harper College on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 3 PM.

On Saturday, July 13, works of “the macabre,” by versatile IIlinois composer Dr. Michael Karasis, will be featured in an exciting musical collaboration with the Elmhurst Choral Union, performing his oratorio for chorus and orchestra Frankenstein. Also on the program will be Prometheus, his overture for orchestra, and the premiere of The Raven, a tone poem based on Edgar Allen Poe’s classic. The pieces will be played by The Orchestra of the Macabre, under the direction of Scott Uddenberg.

The concert will take place at the Performing Arts Center of Harper College, Palatine, IL. The concert hall is handicapped accessible. Tickets are $25 General admission. $23. Senior rate.
