The Jamie O’Reilly Trio—is an exciting collaboration for Jamie and longtime musical partner, the celebrated singer/songwriter Michael Smith, (contributing songs he’s written for her, and accompanying on guitar). They are receiving standing ovations and superlatives from presenters and fans alike.  Cellist, Bob Weber (Elgin, Northwest Ind. Symphonies), who spent a career playing chamber music, lends depth and richness to the trio’s sound, as they merge musical styles, and present a vibrant, captivating show!  For folk shows audiences can expect to hear a full gamut of original folk, old-style cabaret, and traditional music, sung in several languages, accompanied by guitar and cello, and sung by Jamie. 

The TRIO also presents a cabaret called I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU: fiery tangos, exotic love songs, sultry ballads, and favorites tunes in the style of the 30s, 40s, 50s songbirds and features songs from the American Songbook redesigned for the soulful style of the TRIO. Songs include ‘Plaisir d'amour’,‘Flowering Henna’,'Hombre del Mundo’ (by Jamie & Michael, heard on Jamie's Swimming Deeper CD), ‘Blue River ‘(a Sophie Tucker cover), Cole Porter’s ‘Allez Vous En',‘Michael's Seurat’,  ‘Waving to Picasso’ and Gift of the Magi songs: ‘Gotta Like a Guy’, ‘Madame Sofronie.’ They perform covers by Lucinda Williams, Jennifer Warnes, Leonard Cohen Jacques Brel. The Trio has been seen at Maxim’s in Chicago’s Gold Coast, the Chicago Cultural Center, FitzGerald's, Friendship Concerts, Accoustic Rennaisance Concerts in Hinsdale, World Folk Music Co, Hogeye Folk Arts, the Old Town School of Folk Music, Charlie's, Bill’s Blues in Evanston and the Royal Oak in Rockford and throughout the Chicago area.
